Steve Zissou, the marine film author Jacques Cousteau, has the reason to be melancholy: his partner was eaten, perhaps by a shark of mythical jaguar, his wife can become attached to his former spouse, a young man seems applying that Steve is his father (Steve detests fathers), his most recent films have tanked, he has problem by raising the money for his firm to take revenge on his partner and he is attracted to a reporter surrounding wall which prefers the candidate. In sea, in pursuit of the shark, will he avoid pirates and mutiny, forge the obligations of fatherhood, put the arm around his wife, to find the monster of the deep, to restore the hegemony of counter and to discover a reason to smile?.
Steve Zissou, le film marin auteur la Jacques Cousteau, a la raison d'être la mélancolie : son partenaire a été mangé, peut-être par un requin de jaguar mythique, sa femme peut s'attacher à son ex-mari, un jeune homme semble faisant une demande que Steve est son père (Steve déteste des pères), ses films les plus récents ont tanked, il a le problème en levant l'argent pour son entreprise pour se venger de son partenaire et il est attiré à un reporter enceinte qui préfère le prétendant.
