A movie that pushes the conspiratorial playfulness of Rivette's CÃ©line and Julie in directions both maddening and magical. Ogier and her daughter Pascale are here the crossed-paths comrades impulsively taking up the silent challenge of the city's codes: hopscotching the map of Paris' arrondissements and turning it into a life-size outdoor board game. As ever in Rivette's labyrinthine re-imaginings of the urban obstacle course, the rules and goals are obscure while the allusive clues, keys and signposts multiply alarmingly. Underworld and wonderland merge in the open air; joyous whimsy blurs with justified worry; and Rivette risks exploring the scarifying powers of fantasy and paranoia with a panning, punning documentary eye. With so many oblique strategies, a little irritation is inevitable...but if you could possibly imagine a pre-micro Tron, the leaps of faith needed here shouldn't be difficult.

Love and danger unexpectedly meet in this offbeat thriller with comic elements from Italian filmmaker Giuseppe Capotondi. Sonia (Ksenia Rappoport) is a young woman who from Eastern Europe who has recently come to live in Turin and wants to find a boyfriend. With this in mind, she signs up for a speed-dating service, and among the men she meets is Guido (Filippo Timi), an ex-cop turned security guard who has been making the rounds of the singles' scene for a while. Sonia likes Guido and he feels the same way about her, passing along his belief that when the hour and minute sides of the clock feature the same numbers, it's a sign of good luck and one can use the occasion to make a wish. However, Guido's luck takes a turn for the worse while Sonia visits the villa where he keeps watch — a handful of burglars break in and Guido is shot during the altercation, leaving Sonia to make sense of what happened to make her way to safety. La Doppia Ora (aka The Double Hour) was an official selection at the 2009 Venice International Film Festival.

Paris, 1942. Robert Klein cannot find any fault with the state of affairs in German-occupied France. He has a well-furnished flat, a mistress, and business is booming. Christian (Robert Hoffman) and his girlfriend are taking a walk on a deserted beach when they discover a woman's body lying. A closer look proves that she's alive. The next day Christian meets her again at a yacht party and they fall in love. Guilt. Anne and Georges Laurant have a book-lined Paris townhouse, jobs at a publishing house and as the host of a high-brow talk show, and a teenage son, Pierrot, who's on the swim team. The whole story takes place in Chicago. A policeman is murdered in a cold-blooded way in one of some illicit taprooms. Tomek Zaleska who on the ill-fated night was staying at Franek's flat is suspected of the homicide. They are both sentenced to 99 years of prison, with the conviction based merely on the testimony of one witness. Frank's mother who believes that her son is innocent after eleven years places an announcement in the local newspaper in which she offers 5000 dollars reward for anybody who would prove the innocence of her son. The chief editor of Chicago Times gets interested in the case and commissions to one of his journalists, McNeal (in this part great James Stewart) writing an article about it. Initially his view on the issue is quite skeptical, but later on he gradually starts to believe that Frank is innocent. He also faces the growing resistance from the local authorities.

The Bride left but was captured by another group of thugs. Jigen checked if Lupin was alright, Lupin got up, only to discover that the Bride left him a ring. Which he remember seeing sometime in the past. Who was that Bride?, where is the source of the Goat Bills?, and what connection does the ring have?
