Plot Summary: Baron Munchausen is a character of European myth which could be considered the precursor of American stories of Pecos Bill or of Paul Bunyan. The stories of the Baron are taken to be scandalous and temperamental lies. It is the origin of the name of the psychiatric diagnosis of the Syndrome of "Munchausen", particularly bizzare forms it of hypochondria.

Les histoires du Baron sont prises pour être des mensonges scandaleux et fantasques.
