Plot Summary: A dramatic history of Pu Yi, the last of the Emperors of China, of his high birth and short kingdom in the Prohibited City, the adoration object for the half a trillion of persons; for his abdication, his decline and dissolute way of life; his exploration for the invasion Japanese, and finally to his obscure existence as only another peasant's official in the republic of the Persons.
