Plot Summary: In 1866, the Kansas, the American civil war has just ended and the licensed armies. The building of the West begins, and in 1872, the new city of Dodge City is governed by violence and shootings. Irishman Wade Hatton (Errol Flynn) is a man well-adjusted for these days and soon it is driving a group of pioneers, including Abbie Irving (Olivia de Havilland) and his carefree brother, for Dodge City. Once in the city, invite that the Ford is the local sheriff, and it makes an incident accept the position. He tries to clean the city of cattle, governed by the mighty exile Jeff Surrett (Bruce Cabot) and his group, with the support of the decent local persons.
