Plot Summary: The human spot is the history of Coleman Silk (Hopkins), to a classic's professor with an awful secret, this is about to shatter his life in a small new town of England. If his matter with a young uneasy doorman (Kidman) is uncovered, the secret silk had dropped anchor for more than fifty years of his wife, his children and colleague, author Nathan Zuckerman, explodes fast in a blaze of disastrous results. It is Zuckerman who trips on the secret of silk and begins to rebuild the unknown biography of this important, straight man, respected as a pedagogue for almost his whole life, and to understand how this brilliantly fictitious life ausgefasert came.
