Plot Summary: Lenny and Amanda have an adopted son Max who turns out to be bright. Lenny becomes haunted by the conclusion of the real parents of Max because he thinks that they must be bright also. When he notes that Linda Ash is Max' the real mother, Lenny is disappointed. Linda is the star of pornography and a prostitute. To top it all she is completely perhaps the person most mute Lenny has never met. A Greek chorus linking up history with the history of Oedipus is interlaced.
