When a volante saucer lands supposedly in rural Iowa, the Old Man (who runs a secret branch of the CIA), decides to investigate. He goes in person, accompanied by the agents Sam and Jarvis, as well as Dr Mary Sefton, the specialist of NASA in foreign biology. They note that the foreigners really posed and plan to have recourse to their powers of mental manipulation to take back our planet.
