Plot Summary: Comic-serious history based on the memory for Beverly Donofrio, the movie is still a young woman which billet his life radically altered by an event of his years of adolescent. When Beverly was born in 1950, he grew intelligently and ambitious in a neighborhood of hard-working class in the Connecticut; his father was a resistant but generous policeman who listened to problems of his daughter, and his mother was an anxious nervous woman because of imagining the worst. Of a first age, Beverly exposes a sharp intelligence and an interest in the literature, and dreams of going to the university in Nova Iorque and becoming a writer. Nevertheless, she also develops a first interest in boys, and in 15 it meets crazy in the love with a boy of his high school. Nevertheless, an attempt of acquiring his attention leads to an incident embarassing in a party, and the Ray, a kind but rude such one of 18 years, gives steps ahead to defend it. Beverly and the Ray end deciphering, and after a thing leads to other, Beverly discovers that she is pregnant. De uma primeira idade, Beverly expõe uma inteligência aguda e um interesse na literatura, e sonhos de ir à universidade em Nova Iorque e tornar-se um escritor. Contudo, ela também desenvolve um primeiro interesse em rapazes, e em 15 encontra-se loucamente no amor com um rapaz da sua escola secundária.
