Out for a Kill

Wong Dai, the world's most powerful Chinese drug kingpin, is sitting at a long table in an old building in Paris, France, going through the motions of a gigantic merger between himself and several other major Chinese drug dealers. Sai Lo controls shipments in the French heroin market in Paris, using laundromats all over Paris as a front. Tang "The Bird" Zhili controls the entire New York drug conglomerate from the Chinatown section of New York, and runs Mahjong gambling rackets. Yin Quinshi of Sofia, Bulgaria, controls an Eastern European drug cartel. Li Bo controls drug exports in Shang Hai, China, and has a penchant for French restaurants. Fang "The Barber" Lee controls a Paris drug cartel, and he is known to hire unique assassins. And Mr. Chang controls drug money in London, England. Yale University archeology professor Robert Burns, who has just recently won the prestigious and much-coveted Winthrop Award for excellence in archeology, stumbles onto the fact that his expedition to China, near the China/Kazakhstan border, is being used by Wong Dai as a cover for a drug smuggling operation. Realizing the danger of sticking around, Burns and his assistant, Luo Yi, make a run for it, but in the resulting gunfight and chase, Luo Yi is killed, and when Burns reaches the border, he finds that Wong's smugglers have set him up for smuggling the drugs. Burns lands in a Chinese prison, framed for drug-running. Burns is questioned by beautiful Chinese narcotics cop Tommie Ling and surly DEA agent Ed Gray, who want to release him and use him as bait to nail the smugglers. Burns is quickly released and sent to the USA, where he promises Luo Yi's father Luo Dazhong that he will get revenge for Luo Yi's murder, but Wong Dai is not done with Burns yet. Wong Dai sends hit men to Burns's house in New Haven, Connecticut to plant a bomb in Burns's house, which explodes and kills Burns's wife Maya. With the two people closest to him dead at the hands of Wong Dai and his minions, and with Tommie and Gray shadowing his every move, Burns is out for revenge. As it turns out, Burns was not always a Professor. He was once a master thief of Chinese artifacts, who served time in prison and earned his archeology degree while in prison, and he changed his name and married Maya after he was released. With his determination to exterminate those who killed Maya, Burns tells Tommie and Gray to stay out of his way, as he cuts a bloody path through Chinatown and across Europe on his way to a confrontation with Wong Dai.

The story of a Los Angeles hit man. Corrado is the best there is in the city of LA. Pimped by his nefarious handler, Frankie, he performs jobs ranging from tune-ups to outright hits. Frankie loves Corrado for his lack of mercy, for his coldness and readiness to do the job no matter what. Now Frankie has a pearl of a job for Corrado - hit the aging kingpin Vittorio Spinello in his own house. Make it look like Vittorio's death is an accident, get out, and $500K is his. Corrado readily accepts. Corrado is about to perform the hit when he is interrupted by Vittorio's brand new live in nurse, Julia (Candace Elaine), and winds up shooting Vittorio dead and escaping out the window to leave Julia holding the bag. Julia doesn't have to wait long for Vittorio's son Paolo to discover her standing by his father's corpse. In an unreasonable rage he accuses her of killing his father, or at least being complicit in his death. Corrado overhears this on the other side of the window he has escaped from, and somehow can't leave her to die for his sins. In his rage, Paolo murders his father's consigliere, Tommaso. In a split second Corrado rescues her, and now he has an entire crime family hell bent on catching him and Julia. Paolo will stop at nothing to avenge his father's death, even deploying his crooked cops headed by Officer Tony to reel them in. Will Corrado and Julia escape with their lives?

She goes cliff-diving, which makes Edward think she has killed herself, although it was purely for recreational purposes. So Edward travels to Italy, to provoke the Volturi so they will kill him. Alice finds Bella, and they begin a race to the Italian city of Volterra to stop him.

Matt lets Larry, his wife Daisy, and his other son move to the remotely located farm so they can hide from Glastenbury and the Pentangle, but the Pentangle strikes again, setting the farmhouse on fire. Matt and Sara escape as the only survivors. Then the Pentangle kidnaps Sara, sending Matt on a mission to rescue Sara from Glastenbury and the Pentangle.

Here she meets several elderly women, including the head of the house, Madhumati; a quiet, confident woman named Shakuntala; and a gorgeous young woman named Kalyani — all widows. Chuyia does not know that according to Holy Hindu Scriptures she has been destined to live here for the rest of her life, for when a woman's husband dies', she has three options: One, to marry her husband's younger brother, if his family permits; two, to kill herself on his funeral pyre; three, to live a life of celibacy, discipline, and solitude amongst her own kind. A new law in India which permits a widow to re-marry is not popular, and it is these customs and openly welcoming the lower castes that will pit Gandhiji against his very own people, apart from struggling with the British to leave India. Kalyani meets and falls in love with young Narayan, a follower of Mahatma Gandhi, who wants to marry her, despite his mother's protests. The question remains, can Kalyani marry the man she loves? Will he still want to marry her when he knows everything about her? And is Chuyia destined to live the rest of her life as a widow among shunned widows?
